Configuration of Google Android for eduroam network

Configuration using eduroam Configuration Assistant Tool
- Download and install the "eduroam CAT" application from Google Play.
- Launch the application and select VSB - Technical University of Ostrava from the list of organizations.
- Fill the login name as login@vsb.cz (eg. Abc123@vsb.cz) and wifi password.
Attention! In some versions of the Android OS after this step may be required lock screen using a PIN, symbols etc.!
- The eduroam profile will be configured.
Manual configuration
- Download and install Addtrust External CA Root certificate from Attention! In some versions of the Android OS after this step may be required lock screen using a PIN, symbols etc.! .
- Go via All programs and choose Settings and then WiFi.
- Turn on WiFi and in the list of available WiFi networks search for the network eduroam.
- Choose following options:
EAP method: PEAP
CA Certificate: AddTrust External CA Root
Phase 2 authentication: MSCHAPV2
Identity: The user name must be entered in form login@domain (e.g. abc123@vsb.cz). Where "login" is your VSB-TUO login name and "domain" is vsb.cz.
Password: Type your Wi-Fi password (Wi-Fi password is not identical with a single LDAP password!).
- After saving settings eduroam is connected.
In the event that your device can not verify the certificate authentication servers radius, you can try to use a less safe option without specifying a CA certificate AddTrust External CA Root.
