Martin Výlet 24.1 5 * Wi-Fi card is installed in your computer. The card meets technical requirements, i.e. EAP-PEAP authentication and WPA2.
6 * Its configuration was made with Windows standard tools, not with tools provided by card manufacturer.
7 * Check that you are in the EDUROAM wireless network range.
8 * **Always turn off** your computer. Don't put it asleep (hibernate), wireless network won't wake up later!

Martin Výlet 24.1 13 * If is your university involved in international project eduroam (Education Roaming) then it is possible to connect to the eduroam with use the same login as in your home institution and in other universities (also involved in the project eduroam).

Martin Výlet 24.1 28 1. Right click on **Start **and continue through **Control Panel → Network and Internet → Network and Sharing Center** and reference **Set up a new connection or network.**

33 For **Network Name** (SSID) type **eduroam **(small letters)
34 For **Security Type** choose following options:
35 1*. **WPA2-Enterprise **with **[[**AES**>>url:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_Encryption_Standard]]** (the strongest security, HW and SW support is necessary).
36 1*. Click on **Start this connection automatically.**
37 After network add go to **Change connection settings**.

41 On **Security **card, set up another configuration:
42 \\Choose **Security Type** **WPA2-business** and **Encryption Type** **AES**. (On older computers without the possibility WPA2-business + AES can configure WPA-business + TKIP.)
43 For network authentication method choose **Protokol PEAP (protected EAP)** and then click on **Settings**.
44 1*. Check **Verify the server's identity by validating the certifikate**.
45 1*. Check **Connect to these servers** and type **radius1.vsb.cz;radius2.vsb.cz;**
46 1*. Check certificate **DigiCert Assured ID Root CA**.
47 1*. Check **Don't ask user...**
48 1*. Select **Secured password (EAP-MSCHAP v2)** in **Select Authentication Method** listbox.
49 1*. Proceed by clicking the button **Configure**.
50 1*. **Uncheck **the option **Automatically use my Windows logon name and password.**
51 1*. Continue by button **Advanced settings.**

60 If this is your first time connection or your password has changed, note the dialog for entering the credentials.
61 Use the same login as in your home institution.
62 Another possibility to use services of EDUROAM wireless network is set up [[wifi password>>doc:uzivatel.hesla.wifi-heslo.WebHome]].
63 \\The user name must be entered in form (% style="color:#cc0000" %)**login@domain**(%%) (e.g. abc123@vsb.cz).
64 Where "login" is your VSB-TUO **login **name.
65 And "domain" is **vsb.cz** .
66 Also type in the [[**wifi password**>>doc:uzivatel.hesla.wifi-heslo.WebHome]] (WiFi password is not identical with a single LDAP password!)
67 Leave Logon domain blank.
