MAC address in Windows 7 and 8 from cmd (Command Prompt)

Find the MAC address in the command prompt, you can use getmac /v or ipconfig /all.

Command Prompt cmd and getmac /v

  1. In Windows 8 press WinKey+R and enter command cmd.
    In Windows 7 open the Start Menu and type cmd in search box. Press Enter or click the mouse on the cmd searched.

  2. Then type getmac /v and press Enter.
    Find your Network Adapter (Ethernet adapter...), locate column Physical Address and MAC address (group of letters A - F and numbers 0 - 9).

  2. Then type ipconfig /all and press Enter.
    Find your Network Adapter (Ethernet adapter...), locate column Physical Address and MAC address (group of letters A - F and numbers 0 - 9).
