Microsoft Network Client in Windows 7 and 8

This guide serves to turn on the Microsoft network client in Connection to local network. For example network application ASPI can be nonfunctional without this configuration.
 

  1. In Windows 8:
    Press WinKey+I and in shown strip Settings continue through Control Panel → Network and Internet → Network and Sharing Center and reference Change adapter settings.

    In Windows 7:
    a) By clicking on network icon in the right bottom corner by the clock and via link Open the Network and Sharing Center.
    b) Or via Start Control Panel → Network and Internet → Network and Sharing Center.

    Continue via link Change adapter settings.

  2. Choose your network adapter and doubleclick on it. It will open the dialog Connection to the local nework - state (or right click and then Properties).

  3. Click on General and then Properties. Check if the Microsoft Network Client is on (checkbox). Confirm by clicking on OK.
